Hi everyone, I’m 24F and I’ve been working at my second marketing job for almost a year at a startup restaurant (chain). Lately, I’ve felt like I’m not doing enough because sales are fluctuating and trending downward. My boss frequently shares his concerns about these drops, which adds to my stress.
I’ve been trying to take on a lot of responsibilities but Im at a point where I’m doubting my skills and whether I’m doing well enough. However, I would constantly wonder if what I’m doing is normal for an associate-level, but I understand that every company has their own JD for different roles.

Here’s some things that I do:

  1. Creative & Brand Identity (The "Visuals")
    • End-to-End Graphic Design: Designing all in-store and digital assets, including menu boards, seasonal posters, and localized signage. (Endless graphics to work on, I usually take an hour to finish one design)
    • Full-Cycle Content Production: Scripting, filming, and editing short-form video (TikTok/IG) using professional tools like Adobe Suite and CapCut.
    • Brand Standards Maintenance: Ensuring visual consistency across multiple physical locations and all digital platforms.
  2. Digital Operations & Tech Management (The "Pipes")
    • Third-Party Delivery Management: Testing and creating different offers and ads to see which offer is the best performing and what offer works the best for us). Performing research to ensure we’re visible to the audience and that we’re attractive enough for people to order from us.
    • POS Integration: Managing Toast POS logic for promotional codes and communicating with store managers to ensure smooth in-store execution.
    • SOP Development: Writing the technical "Standard Operating Procedures" for store staff to follow during new promos or product launches.
  3. Performance Marketing & Strategy (The "Growth")
    • Omnichannel Campaign Strategy: Conceptualizing and executing promotions, from idea, design, to logistics.
    • Digital Advertising Management: Strategizing and managing ad spend budgets to achieve high-efficiency returns (like that 10x ROAS).
    • Lifecycle Marketing: Managing SMS/Email loyalty campaigns (Toast) to drive repeat visits and customer retention.
  4. Data Analysis & Executive Reporting (The "Brain")
    • Performance Auditing: Tracking and analyzing "Ad vs. Organic" leads and competitor benchmarking via Yelp and Google.
    • Stakeholder Reporting: Preparing sales and performance reports for shareholders to justify marketing spend and prove profitability.
    • Market Research: Identifying local trending search terms to pivot menu items or marketing focus to capture high-demand traffic.

Some customer service stuff for yelp/google/ig/and Gmail. And some other office tasks on top of this.

To clarify, I don’t mind taking on harder tasks to improve myself but I’m at a point where I’m doubting myself. My manager is more like my boss’s secretary, she doesn’t really tell me to do anything, which could be a good thing, but the bad thing is that I’ve been having to come up with all marketing stuff myself. Maybe I find this hard because I have narcolepsy and that takes away at least 2 hours from work already… (oh yea, I am the only marketing person in our company)

So basically I just bought this c107 row 6 ticket. It says the sell price is $691 so $791 is with all the other fees, I assumed that this is pretty close to the face value price. My friend just informed me that I should’ve waited because Ticketmaster might release more tickets and that ticket prices will get cheaper as we get closer to the show date. I’m not sure what to think and need some advice. (Maybe I should sell this later on and wait for cheaper tickets?) I’m usually the type of person who doesn’t like to splurge on things so im kinda stuck now.
