I’ll try to explain this short and sweet. I am starting PA school and will be limited in funds for 2 1/2 years. Stocked up on decent quality ammo but not top tier and saved for a higher end (relative to me) 2011 (currently own a Bul armory EDC).
I initially wanted the XC but landed on the Race City RC9 but I’ve had my reserves. I love everything about the RC9 and hear it’s a beast. Mainly I just worry about reliability. I’m purely looking for a range toy. Just a flat shooting “you can’t buy performance but damnit this sure helps”. My concerns is if the ammo I have stocked up on becomes an issue I definitely won’t be able to afford much more (mostly S&B 124g). Would it be a better idea to just buy an XC based on reliability?
I have also thought if I am going to go that route should I just get a p211 and then wait to get the RC9 after school. Definitely don’t love how sig handled the p320 debacle but if they made a quality, well shooting pistols for the price can’t say much about it. This will also be my first ported or comped pistol so I am definitely inexperienced and looking to learn.
I appreciate any help and just want to learn more about a tier of 2011 I don’t have a lot of experience with. Thanks in advance.
