Close friend and I went for the Fried Rice drop this morning, and of course no such luck on my end but…… the 2011 gods were smiling upon him and his allocation went through. I thought he was just talking shit at first, but I’ll be damned if it went through. Deposit take and all.

As almost as impossible as it might be to get through for us regs, sometimes it does happen.

What kind of 1911 fan doesn't have a 2011 in their collection? I had to fix that with my most recent purchase. If you look at my post history you'll see I'm a big fan of wood and steel. It's hard finding a grip module that really scratches that itch, so when I saw Combat Textiles makes a cordura grip for the MAC I knew what I had to do. I got the coyote color and used a furniture pen to darken the color to mimic wood grips along with polishing the barrel for that classic two tone look. Added an Underworld Arms compensator, which definitely isn't classic but it just looks so cool honestly.

Stacking the comps is definitely a choice, I couldn't find any photos of someone doing that on a 5" model besides the videos Underworld Arms made for the product. Also add on an Amazon special light and lazer combo while I wait for my X300U to show up in the mail (If anyone has any recommendations for a light/lazer that is around 4.25in long please let me know, i'd love to find one that fits flush with the muzzle). I know it's definitely not everyone's cup of tea but I'm loving the set up so far.

Stepping into LO the right way. After running my XC in Open, finally grabbed my first “real” LO gun, a DS9. Buddy had one for sale and I couldn’t pass it up. Time to put in some work.

I put about 200 rounds through it today and it shoots like a dream. The build time was also a third of what the website said. Ordered, was processed, built, and delivered in about a month.

Pretty sure I installed the grip safety wrong because it’s currently pinned. Used the MAC sear spring but Staccato Grip safety so I think that’s the issue?

And he showed me his sand viper. It was nicer than what i expected as most people say its over rated. In hand, it felt premium. Didnt shoot it but still a great looking 2011

Picked up this Mac 9 DS for a good deal. Love it so far. Put the Green dot on and now have a duty holster and mag carrier. Not a fan of it being over sprung but will fix that. Red Dirt trigger going in this week. Not keeping the olight on it. going to put tlr1-HL on.

Wanted to know how my infinity would handle some sand. This is the second run, first was flawless. I't came out way better than my glock with a timney trigger. It was rendered inoperable and would not even fire the first shot.

I’m really liking the compact grip and the way this shoots. Smoother than my HD 3.6 ported. Can’t wait to put a few hundred more rounds in and start carrying it.

The area you are referring to appears as though there are some file marks from fitment of the firearm. Since these slides are DLC coated, on occasion when they are in final fitment to the frame, it becomes necessary to file down the DLC coating around the frame rails. This should not cause you any functional issues at all.

Ran 100 rounds of Remington 115 and 100 rounds of SnB 115. After this mag, it failed to eject the Remington every other round. Switched to SnB and it functioned flawlessly other than not locking open on the last round.
