Hello,
I was part of a longer study that span on multiple days. On the third day, I did a study and then short after I saw assigned to me a different study that was similar to the one I already completed but it had "UPDATED" in the title so I thought I should do it as well.
I opened it, and because I already did it before it was updated, as a different Prolific study, it took me right to the end. So I was "teleported" right to the end page and it had a finish button. But this button was super similar as position and color and etc - with the way these studies were in the past, but instead of Finish it used to be Start. So without seeing that it says Finish, I thought I am pressing Start. To my surprise, the study sent me back to Prolific with an Auto-rejection.
I contacted the researcher and I got no reply back in 3 days. I made a follow up today. I just asked if they could please return the study and explained the whole situation. I also filled up a form that maybe I can make that rejection dissapear.
I have 2 questions now :
Does this kind of scenario usually stand up in appeal cases ?
Is there anything else I can do besides contacting the researcher and completing that form, like contacting support, or should I just be patient and wait because I already did everything in my power?
Thanks.
