Reddit has a kindness problem and I’m just going to say it…

Something I wish more people on Reddit understood, not everyone here grew up with the same knowledge, language or cultural context as you. Before you respond with attitude, consider that the person asking might just come from a completely different world than yours. Be the helpful comment you wish someone had left for you. Hiding behind a screen doesn’t make rudeness acceptable. If you wouldn’t say it to someone’s face, don’t type it. There’s a real person on the other side of every post. a kind/neutral explanation is always the better choice.

Best countries to move to as a married couple? Looking for honest advice.

My husband and I live in the middle east, we are thinking about starting over in a new country and would love some advice from people with experience living abroad. We’re open to pretty much anywhere and haven’t narrowed it down yet. Some things we care about:

1- Ease of getting a visa/residency.
2- Cost of living.
3- Quality of life (safety, healthcare, community).
4- English friendly or easy language to pick up.

Has anyone made a big move like this? What country did you choose and would you recommend it? What do you wish you knew before going? Any advice is welcome! the good, the bad and the ugly.
Thank you in advance. 💖

Erkan is such a narcissist (Sevdiğim Sensin)

People keep focusing on Erkan saving Dicle and treating him like a hero, but they’re completely overlooking some genuinely narcissistic behavior he displays. I’m on episode 8 and I really can’t keep excusing everything he does just because his family is terrible.

Him with Dicle:

1- From the moment they arrived at his family’s mansion, he never truly protected Dicle. He left her to be mistreated and abused by everyone around her while he went out partying and even tried to hook up with a girl his friend brought over, in the same house where Dicle was staying.

2- He kept giving her false hope through tender moments and sweet talk, knowing full well she was falling for him, while he had zero intention of reciprocating those feelings and was planning to divorce her all along.

3- His jealousy over Kader had nothing to do with genuine love, it was pure ego. The moment another man entered the picture he became aggressive and possessive, not because he cared for her, but because he couldn’t stand the idea of ‘losing.’ He’s addicted to being the hero, for Dicle, and for Burçin too (which deserves its own conversation).

4- He manipulated and deceived her multiple times, most notably getting her to sign the divorce contract without disclosing what it was fully aware that she was naive and couldn’t read.

5- He consistently disregarded her autonomy whether she wanted to marry Kader or stay at the Women’s Protection Association, or wanting to divorce him. her choices simply didn’t matter to him.

Him with Burçin:

1- The first red flag with Burçin actually comes from her own mother, who mentions he hadn’t reached out to Burçin at all during his entire military service. And look, I get that he doesn’t love her, but the issue is there were clearly conversations happening about their engagement that he could have shut down at any point simply by saying ‘I don’t want to marry her.’ He never did.

2- He ignored Burçin, lied to her and hid his entire marriage to Dicle from her which is a massive betrayal to someone you supposedly have engagement plans with. And on top of that he was being unfaithful the whole time. She deserved to know the truth and he just kept stringing her along.

3- After Burçin broke up with him, he suddenly had a change of heart and decided to propose but only after losing her, not because he genuinely loved her. He manipulated her into believing his feelings were real just to win her back, which says a lot about his ego. It was never about her, it was about not being the one who got left.

4- When Dicle showed up to confront him about the divorce contract she never knowingly signed, Burçin was right there asking what was going on and he just kept shutting her down and dismissing her like she had no right to know he was a married man.

5-During the car accident, he came running and only had eyes for Dicle, pulling her out and screaming her name even though she looked visibly unharmed. He didn’t even glance at Burçin, who had a visible stab wound, until Dicle herself woke up and told him to go check on her.

6- lastly, the way he changed his mind and backed out from divorcing Dicle at the court was so childish and selfish, especially while being engaged to another woman and she waits for him at home. When Burçin called him to confront him about it, he replied so recklessly, something like ‘I will talk to you later’ saying ‘Dicle’ name and that he’s looking for her, call ended with no explanation to his fiance nor remorse.

Now please tell me, how do writers/directors produce a show about mistreated women by mistreating them even more by the protagonist and everyone else in the show?
