recently redone my tank for ghost, however he seems to be hanging out on one side more than the other. is there any reasoning for this or anything i need to change/add?

hey guys! i recently got a crowntail. i’ve had bettas in the past. however i’ve been researching and learned that they don’t like bright colored decor. i bought a bunch of new stuff to make it more “homey” for him. includes smooth rocks and silk smooth plants. was wondering the easiest way to change his decor without 1) stressing him and 2) doing a complete water change. my parameters are good (i have a strip test kit as well as a liquid test kit).
he also has a heater & a sponge filter because i also read alot of regular filters are too harsh of flow. i dont have any photos sadly!! please let me know!
