Cheap Ev car rental for two weeks in Switzerland over travel pass, worth it?
My girlfriend and I will be flying into zurich then going down to interlaken for a week then back to Zurich for another week. I don't plan on visiting cities, I want to go be out in the mountains and nature. I'll also be base jumping in lauterbrunnen, so taking a decent amount of cable cars up the mountain.
The swiss travel pass is 1300$ for both of us for 15 days. That's absolutely insane. Even just a train ticket from Zurich to Interlaken is like 150$. I can get a compact EV car from Hertz at the Zurich airport for 11$ a day. The cheapest gas car is like 45$ a day. This seems like the cheapest option to get an EV car, even with public fast charging being kind of expensive, is there literally any reason to buy a train pass, or not to rent an EV car?
I see so many posts about people saying it's not worth it, but even if I pay an extra 400$ in charging and parking fees, and 250$ for the rental for the entire stay, that's cheaper than the swiss travel pass right?
