How to Get the Tortoiseshell Guinea Pig in Adopt Me
The Tortoiseshell Guinea Pig might honestly be one of the weirdest “rare” pets in Adopt Me right now.
Not weird because it looks bad — actually the opposite. The thing is insanely popular with preppy traders, but I feel like newer players massively overestimate how impossible it is to get.
I’ve been seeing people offer huge overpays in trading servers lately, especially in rich/preppy servers where everyone keeps calling it “super exotic” or “mega rare.” In reality, it’s valuable mostly because:
- it was limited
- it came from the Golden Lettuce/Pets Plus system
- preppy traders love the design
The design definitely carries the value hard though. The tortoiseshell pattern honestly looks way better than most small pets in the game, especially as Neon/Mega Neon.
I also noticed something interesting after server hopping for a few days:
If you trade in Pro Servers, owners usually want overpays immediately because they already know the TikTok values.
But in normal casual servers, some players just see it as “a cute guinea pig” and trade it way cheaper.
The best trades I found were actually bundle trades where the guinea pig was just an add-on. People focus so much on the main pet that they sometimes undervalue the smaller extras.
Also, I personally think the Neon version is where the pet really becomes worth it. The glowing patches look surprisingly clean compared to a lot of newer neon pets.
Do you guys think the Tortoiseshell Guinea Pig will keep rising long term, or is this just another preppy hype pet that eventually drops?
