Important to note: This is NOT a "Diablo 4 is bad" discussion. Diablo 4 does some things very well (story presentation/animations a.s.o.) but there's something that drives me crazy and I really need to know if I'm in a minority here thinking this.

Ok so I am currently taking a break from PoE2 because I reached endgame which I currently feel is not thaaat great (lv 80) + there's 0.5 with endgame changes on the horizon so I was thinking "wth, let's jump into D4, get the expansion and play through that with paladin". So I bought it and started playing with a friend I introduced to PoE2 and ARPGs in general before. We are currently having a "good" time (I'm a little bored because we need to get through the main campaign before anything else bc. he doesn't know it and I did it 2 times).
So today I created another character just for the lulz because my buddy is visiting his family over the weekend and I never played anything but campaign->endgame in D4.
Let's say ... it all felt wrong on every level possible. The balance curve (because everything is just set on your level) felt so OFF to me. Right from level 1 I'm basically bulldozing the same 2-3 types of enemy hordes by the thousands (goats/vampires/ghosts). The combat is flashy and still fun but it all feels so pointless because the game drops every illusion by throwing those underleveled cannonfodder enemiegroups at you (in WAY bigger numbers than they are in PoE2 from my experience now) which I know will stay the same until the end of endgame.
This - I know - is very much on me personally but am I the only one who know understands why GGG still wants players to always do the campaign before endgame in some capacity? To present some sort of curve in terms of progression?! Today I lost every sense of urgency/threat I felt from D4 enemies and I hate it.
Am I so weird? I know that games like Titan Quest 1/2 (gonna check out 2 in the future) are less about big enemy horde sizes but PoE2 is also not going overboard with them from my experience until endgame? (when you want to feel powerful because by then you have so many spells/skills/good armour)
Compared to this enemies are SUCH a threat in PoE2 which you need to dodge and look out for which feels SO MUCH better to me. Am I the only one?
Found this Crossbow at start of Akt 4 and the Game feels so easy now. Wantet to test a build for next league start, but now i dont know if my build is working or this weapon is just overpowerd. What do you think? Isnt this dmg insane for Akt 4?

Prove that you actually need the help not giving stuff to a hoarder (ideally)
Also have about 18k of leftover Divs so if your char needs just a boost with an item also write down how can I help and which item do you need (no items over 1k Divs so I can help as many as possible)

Crafting Process:
Frac a max roll target mod, in this case Cold Res
Chaos spam for 2nd res, then Dextral Perf Exalt for 3rd res, raw annul and repeat until trip t1
Perf exalt and rotate whittle, abyss essence, and swearing until you have 1 target mod and a 2nd that's not entirely useless for the build (Armour in this case)
Desecrate for final target mod
Div slam til you're happy with it

I listed it as a joke, and someone actually bought a Potent Ultimate Mana Flask of the Chemist for 500D.
I played in season 2 and this was one of my favorite things to spend time on. I just got to end game and have done about 5 or so maps but don’t have the recombinator yet. Do you unlock it via maps from a random encounter or is there something specific I need to do? Thank you!
My Idea is that people in the future travel from biome to biome not from map to map. This way it still could be that huge infinite atlas but we wouldn't have to do little map by little map.
Instead if we are not at an Biome that is good for our build or interests us in the layout we can skip that and keep going.
At the same time biomes should get stronger and harder the further they are away from the start point. But also ofc more rewarding.
That way you dont have to "spare maps/biomes" for later.
And there is still good space to put all the citadels and special maps and such in between.
Just a quick flash in my brain.
So I wanted to once more have a short run in PoE2c created a new character, and I’m fine with doing the compagne again, but I have a question, is there any meaningful way doing crafting while you’re not max level? While you’re still running the compagne again? Due to the extreme prices and randomness of crafting, I feel that doing any craft while I’m not max level doesn’t make any sense. Is the only method ‘improving’ my gear is just buying items and playing the game until I finish the quests or get to max level? Basically is the crafting an only endgame activity?
If not, what is the meaningful way of crafting while not on max level? Any tips or videos? Because all the videos that I see consider that you already have hundreds of exalts or other currencies that you have to spend to craft anything that will change something.
I was getting my second ascendancy points, had the 2 bosses at around 5% health and 1%, and got disconnected. Now I had to fight them again from 100% health, and wasn't able to beat them, now I lost the token to get in the dungeon. That's some bullshit. Fix that disconnect bug asap. Or at least don't take the damn token.
Have built a new PC, set about installing the game.
THIS error occurs with frustrating regularity, which is made worse by the installer starting over again!
Please, can we find a more robust installer?
