I experienced a really bad period of loneliness recently and it forced me to think about some things I'd been putting off.
I've always been a quiet person and felt like it was a chore to keep conversations going. For that reason, I really struggled to find people I genuinely connected with (especially after I moved out) and ended up being very lonely for a long time.
This is still something I deal with to a degree; I'm not claiming to have a perfect answer, but I do feel much better about my social life and life as a whole now on a daily basis. These are my thoughts on how I've changed the way I think about conversation.
I'm curious to know if anyone else relates at all to what I'm saying.
