For two weeks now, my almost 2.5 year old has consistently peed in the potty and kept dry underwear at my mother’s house during the week… but when we try at home on the weekends, he will have 3+ accidents in the course of two hours. Earlier he sang the potty song while running through the house, peeing the whole time. We go sit on the potty every 30 minutes… and then he will have an “accident” within 5 minutes of getting off the potty. I’m not convinced this is an accident since he also laughs about it. We gave up last weekend and then when he was back at my mom’s house on Monday, it’s like the weekend never happened. He will beg us for “big boy” underwear when we do put a pull up back on… but I’m tired of cleaning pee off of my floor when I KNOW he can do this. Do we go naked and power through? How do we get past what feels like punishment for leaving him during the week?
