Please Help an International Student Brother Struggling Alone in Canada
Assalamu Alaikum everyone,
I’m posting on behalf of someone I know through my university community. If we can share this around wherever we can, an upvote or what not, that would greatly help. He’s an international student from Bangladesh studying in Canada and going through an extremely difficult time right now.
A few days ago, his car was stolen with his bag inside containing his laptop and iPad. He works one job, lives in a shared apartment, and has no family or support system in Canada
His parents back home in UAE are struggling financially. His father is elderly and his mother is not physically capable of working much. Right now he is emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed, and trying to survive while keeping up with rent, bills, tuition, and daily life completely on his own. He hopes to continue taking summer and this fall courses so he does not fall behind but so far he's having trouble coming up with the tuition money.
He has applied for government grant which wont be enough, but hopefully relives his financial burden by a bit. He has no support here in Canada, he's been living here alone for two years so I greatly feel for him.
If anyone is able to donate even a small amount, it would truly help him. And even if you cannot donate, sharing his GoFundMe link in any whatsapp or facebook group you may be apart of would greatly make a difference for him
