Me (Non-EU citizen residing in the EU) and my EU citizen wife are planning to move to Ireland.

But, before we do it, we are considering going there for a small period of time (less than 3 months) to see things over there.

My residence permit in the EU is NOT Family Member of EU citizen (since we live in my wife’s country).

My question is, can I apply for visa to Ireland to travel with my wife under Directive 2004/38/EC even tho we are not planning to stay for more than 3 months over there?
