How to stop spending money

Hi all!

I (22 F) am having a lot of anxiety around how I spend money and I’m looking for some advice on minimizing the amount I spend.

Me and my boyfriend (23 M) are looking at moving in together and getting married, he has about €16k (which is like $30k saved )and I’m at 10.9k. I feel really insecure and anxious about this because I started my job before him but I haven’t had the best spending habits. I tend to spend money to make myself feel better and I got stuck doing the pay in 4 stuff through PayPal.

We’re a long distance relationship and he’s expressed his frustration with how I’ve spent money, I felt so bad about how I spent it, especially after some rough patches we had because I spent the money in a “yolo we’re gonna break up” way, which wasn’t healthy at all.

I have a new job now which brings me in $620 a week after tax , I have $390 on a care credit card plan due in September, I owe my mom about $260 that I have a plan with her on, then about maybe $200 in my other bills every month. I live at home and I’m very fortunate to not have to pay rent. I owe $120 in the pay in 4 plans.

I wanna stop doing the pay in 4 but I feel like I keep roping myself into doing them, I want to be better. My partner has gotten really upset with me which made me feel like I needed to lie about how much I actually have saved because I felt so ashamed with my spending habits. I tend to clave a lot of money anxiety due to how my parents went through the recession, where my dad lost his job.

Any advice is very much welcome! I feel like I’m failing in some way. I feel like I was so good at saving when I was 16-18 then when I got a full time job, I feel like it just got worse.

Thank you all!

Hi everyone!! I picked up my emperor scorpion (named molecule) at the recent reptile expo. I just wanted to show them off! And the enclosure I built! Last photo was taken before wetting enclosure.

I’m relatively new to scorpion keeping, thank you!
