Hi, I live in New Jersey and I have a slab foundation. The concrete foundation doesn’t have a lot of moisture in it and I’m trying to figure out the best way to install. I really don’t want to glue it down because I’ve heard horror stories about what happens if you try to remove a glued down engineered hardwood floor. I’ve heard that floating. It makes it feel cheap.
What’s your thoughts of putting down bostik roll cote then screwing plywood down using tapcon screws then nailing the engineered hardwood flooring to the plywood.
My main concerns are with screwing the plywood down to the slab break the moisture barrier that was put down with the roll cote?
Does anybody have a better idea of what I should do?
