Honestly, buying and selling cars on Facebook Marketplace has become painful lately.

Fake buyers.

Fake listings.

“Is this available?” messages with no replies. Sending address and never showing up

Scammers asking for deposits.

Time wasters everywhere.

That’s one of the reasons I started CarHub Marketplace — an Aussie-owned platform focused purely on cars.

The goal is to create a cleaner, easier place for real buyers and sellers without all the junk that comes with Marketplace.

At the moment:

Listings are FREE

We’re actively promoting vehicles across socials/groups

More features are being added constantly

Dealers will also be joining in future

We’ve also launched a $500 cash giveaway to help get the platform moving and support early users.

Still early days, but would genuinely love feedback from the car community and anyone sick of dealing with Marketplace scams and time wasters.

Built an Aussie car marketplace because I got sick of Facebook Marketplace

For the last few months I’ve been building a side project called CarHub Marketplace.

The idea came from constantly seeing people struggle with:

scammers
fake car listings
time wasters
dealers pretending to be private sellers
fake deposits
zero trust between buyers and sellers

So instead of just complaining about it, I decided to try building something myself.

The goal is simple:

free listings for everyone
cleaner experience
scam reduction
better buyer confidence
Aussie-owned platform

Still very early stages, but I’m focused on creating a marketplace that actually puts buyers and sellers first.

It’s been a huge learning curve:
branding, user acquisition, marketing, building features, getting feedback, and trying to get those first real users.
