Hi, i don’t normally ask for help from the internet and have never posted on reddit before. My son we’ll call him A, has been in daycare since he was 13 months old, he absolutely loves his teachers and has some friends that have been there as long as him if not longer. The issues we’ve been having started around the time he began to talk fluidly, which was at about 2, he started being aggressive towards other kids hitting and kicking, sometimes biting teachers etc. We have had behavioral specialists monitor him at daycare and at a facility with us present.(not sure if this matters but his bio dad does not live with us and isn’t 100% consistent on visitations, however i have been with my bf for the majority of my sons life and he has been consist and my son calls him daddy, and his bio dad is dad) Anyways they couldn’t find an issue developmentally or physically with him, when he was moved to the pre-k room with the 3 and up at 2.5 years old the behaviors decreased drastically for months not a single issues until a couple months after his 3rd birthday, he is by no means constantly aggressive at school or at home, he has days where he’s aggressive at home and days where he’s aggressive at daycare, because the behavioral issues started up again, the daycare bumped him up to the older side of the prek room with the 4 yr olds and up and this seemed to help a lot but now his friends that were still on the younger side are starting to move up and one friend has been picking on him a lot but my son never tells a teacher because he’d rather keep playing than deal with tattling. Today i had to pick him up early due to him cussing at friends and putting hands on them, and pulling on the hood of a girl. Im coming here for advice for an aggressive 3 yr old that is typically very cuddly and occasionally sassy towards me. Im lost as he is my first an only child, Ive tried every form of parenting and discipline and nothing has made a difference. Please if you have any advice id really appreciate it. Thank you from a desperate, barely hanging on by a thread mom. <3
