Hi everyone, I've eaten firm tofu many times before but only bought silken for the first time yesterday (its hard to find where i live). I got 3 kg for a good price form a place that seems to be making it themselves fresh (like a chinese market or restaurant idk). It arrived with ice packs, in an insulated box, the expiration date is in 3 weeks. I'm very concerned cause the brine looks quite slimey, you can scrape a layer of it from the tofu easily. There is no bad smell, i tasted it and imo taste wise it is also fine. Do you think its okay to eat or it really arrived spoiled? What should the brine look like if you get a fresh pack of silken tofu? Should it be just like water basically? Mine is definitely thicker.

Thank you for any advice 🙏
