working student
i just turned 20; i graduated shs 2 years ago, so im supposed to be in 2nd year college na. went into depression and huge financial struggle for a whole year when i was 18 kaya i was unemployed and out of school. when i turned 19, i applied to different jobs and mali ko kasi i went thru 2 jobs na i didnt like and doesnt pay well. now im on my 3rd job which is bpo and ive been here for almost 6 months na. unfortunately for me, im slowly becoming the breadwinner and more than half ng salary ko goes to our household, yung natitira is for fare and personal needs. with that being said, im ashamed to say wala pa kong ipon.
at the same time, ive been wanting to go to college. i know im not smart enough para makapasa sa state university (and from what ive heard, theyre not accomodating towards working students as well), so ill most probably go to a semi or private university. i work full time from 10 pm to 7 am and 15 minute commute lang siya from our house. theres also a huge possiblity na ma-wfh setup ako, maybe 3 months or so from now.
the thing is, since nakakatulong na ko sa bahay, hindi na nila gusto yung idea na bumalik ako sa school kasi obviously mahahati yung expenses. if i went back to school, im planning to take manageable units naman and installment plan sa tuition fee. sobrang torn ako right now kasi nakakatakot mag-start and iniisip ko pa lang, parang nakakapagod na pagsabayin yon. pero, gusto ko maging degree holder.
to all the full time bpo working students out there, how are you managing your schedule, health, and expenses? should i take the risk?
