is this "joking" from a man friend weird/lowkey patriarchal ?
hi hope you’re doing well i wanted some outside perspective bc I’m starting to feel a bit off and annoyed about this. I have a male friend at uni who keeps making comments about me having another male friend. I chat often with him (since he’s not at my uni) but when he noticed that he was just like "oh you have another male friend ? that’s suspicious haha" or also "why aren’t you honest with yourself" (i literally don’t know what he means by that and I always act clueless) problem is, its repetitive. And it’s not even like I have a lot of friends 😭 I literally talk to this one guy who’s been my only friend since high school so obv I don’t want to forget about him (and he’s not even interested in women but that’s just a detail) what’s starting to bother me more is that he (my guy friend from uni) sometimes says it in front of other people to make them laugh or something like "see ? She’s not even honest she’s always chatting on her phone" and I just kind of stand there like ?? because I don’t get it. Thanks for ur answers !!
