Hey guys, I’m looking at submitting my gun licence application and just wanted some advice.
I’ve never been convicted of anything, other than getting demerit points for traffic offences.
The only thing that’s been playing on my mind is that about 18 months ago, my partner and I had an argument. There was an ambulance at a neighbour’s house at the time, and they must have heard us and called it in as a domestic violence situation. Police came out the following morning, but no reports were made, no charges were laid, and no DVO was issued.
The officer did mention that the house had been flagged for potential DV, and that any future incidents would be treated more seriously.
I’m just wondering if something like this could come back to affect my application, given it was a one-off incident with no charges or follow-up. Or am I just overthinking it?
