Can a perfect test score offset bad grades

If u have around a 3.83 uw / 4.35 w at a competitive domestic school will getting a 36 act or 1600 sat help increase ur chances/make you seem like less of an academic liabilities at ivies

Edit: i have a 1540 and a 35 rn and was just wondering if i should take the act over the summer or smt to show that i’m not academically incapable lol

I’m going to a selective summer camp and i’m gonna be interning somewhere (only 2 days a week though) so I have some time on my hands

I’m a junior aiming for t20s and the ivies, and I was wondering how bad mid rec letters will be.

I’m a good student in the 2 classes that my potential recommenders teach, and I speak up/slightly talk to them but I’m also not the best kid in the class and the closest to the teachers…so if my letter is generic will that be damning?
I’ll have 1-2 external rec letters though that will probably be better

Im also worried bc theres another person in both of those classes whos probably gonna get a better rec letter & we’ll probably be applying to similar places as the same kind of major (stem/humanities) - will this be bad lol

Any insight would be really appreciated!! Ty just trying to decide who i should ask in the end

Sorry if this question has already been asked but I’m just hearing different things

Also js for clarification this is diff from notre dame precollege

Do we think a 3.8 uw / 4.28 w at a competitive slightly feeder private (domestic) is bad for ivies my sat is 1550+

We probably have grade deflation def not inflation

i’ll likely have 2 b+s and 1 is from jr year 🫩🫩 tbf neither are from an area that i’ll be majoring in + I’m taking max # of honors and both b+s are from honors classes
