My mom (50F) and I (25F) had a huge fight due to politics. She won't come home and reply to messages. How to fix this?
We were going on a road trip. My brother brought up a funny situation that's happening in our country. We laughed about it except my mom who obviously idolizes these politicians. We were talking about politics, and how these people are failing to do their job. But she continues to get offended to the point she attacked me with personal insults such as I am "dumb and a demon." I shrugged it off at first but she continues to get angry, and keeps insulting me. I got too emotional, and talked back. Saying hurtful detailed things to her, that is much worse. The argument continues, to the point, things got physical. She threw me stuff, so I threw it back at her. I was a bitch. t was beyond the line, and I completely regretted it. We cancelled our road trip, and went home. She dropped us off, and drove away.
After a few hours, I messaged her, and said sorry that I hurt her. She hasn't come home ever since yesterday, and won't reply to messages. I am now completely worried. I know she is prideful, and I don't think the message was enough. I was planning to wait for her and apologise again before leaving and going back to my home town, but haven't heard from her. I honestly don't know what to do.
