I’m in dance college rn. My friend left the college almost a year ago because she was bullied. Shortly after got arrested for bullying the bully back. She is on bail. She’s come to watch 3 dance shows since then but the last show they told her she’s not allowed to come. I thought she was lying and didn’t want to watch. I asked this time for if she could come.
She said “I’m not allowed to come to college events remember?” The bully has been advised by the police not to say who it was to people. But people were getting suspicious it was her and asking me why the bully said she got the bully banned from watching the last show and my friend didn’t come. I said she was just busy.
Told my friend it was probably a prank and this dance show isn’t on campus it’s open to the public she’s able to watch. She said she’ll get in trouble or be called out in front of people. I said that wouldn’t happen it’s a public and people will be more suspicious if she doesn’t go.
She she’ll probably come. I told everyone she’s coming. The mutual friends who came to watch asked her if she’s watching it on the same night as them and she said no she’s watching a different night.
I asked what seat she’s in she said right at the back. I checked the seating online and there was no people in the back. There was one a row down from the back though so I was like “oh do you mean this one?” And screenshotted and she said yeah.
The night of the show I’m scanning through the audience and I don’t see her. When backstage while another group is doing their dances I ask if anyone can spot her. They asked what seat she’s in and I said and they said they’ll look out. They had a number I wasn’t in and they came backstage and said they can only see an old man. Then it’s my number and yeah she was no where to be seen. After the show I asked my mother if she saw my friend. She said no. I message my friend and asked what she thought of the show.
She said “it was AMAZING! The second dance you did was my favourite and you definetly stood out amoung everyone.” I said “the second one was my solo lol” and then she went. “Compared to the other dancers the whole night” I said “Did you like the song I know you love the singer.” She said “yeah” I wanted to test if she was actually there so said “who was the singer again I forgot lol I just know you like the singer.” She said “Taylor Swift.” I said “it was a man.” and she went “OH HARRY STYLES?”. And I said “how did you get the two confused?” And she went. “I got the music confused with another one” I said “you didn’t come did you?”
She apologised and said she wasn’t allowed to come and I knew this but kept pressuring her. I said “It’s not against the law for you to watch a production open for the public” she said “I’m in legal trouble as it is if they told the police I keep coming to watch a production she’s in that looks bad on me.”
