We are tearing down some old wallpaper from the 1970s and the brown backing paper is covered in this white fluff. Any idea what it could be? Some sections of the wall have more than others. It pinches off like small fibres or cotton wool.

What's going on here? Ordered a 6 piece and all was well. Got to the last piece and it tasted like immitation crab. I've never eaten chicken that tasted like that. Spat it out immediately.
Apparerently it's a common complaint? Whaaat?
Noticed this white wooden(?) panel on the ceiling of the under stairs cupboard. 1970s property. Worth noting I didn't actually touch that panel to confirm wood, i'm just assuming it is based off the framing but it has no visible grain. Included some pictures of the masonry as well in case there's something else amiss.
Apologies if it's nothing, I'm on edge after realising there was damaged asbestos right outside our front door for the last 1.5 years which we just thought was peeling paint lol
So we just checked the asbestos report for our property and realised there's white asbestos in the heavily peeled/flaked roof directly above our front door. We've reported it to the council, though we are baffled that it wasn't addressed when they did work on the property before we moved in.
How dangerous is this kind of exposure? I'm assuming small amounts of fibers have been making their way in with airflow daily, especially on windy days, for the last 1.5 years... Plus the exposure every time we leave and enter the property.
Complete DIY newbie here.
We are stripping some very old wallpaper in a 1970s property. Underneath the wallpaper was the brown paper backing (a piece of which can be seen center top) and then under that was a cream coloured layer of quite brittle material that breaks off in shards like eggshells, and then underneath that is the solid wall itself, presumably with Gypsum plaster on it.
What is the cream coloured layer? Is it top/skim coat, or is it part of the wallpapering?
Also probably an overreaction on my part, but do I need to worry about asbestos when removing this stuff and drilling into the wall? I'd read that old top coat might contain asbestos.
