Switched from NB 1080v13 to ASICS Kayano 32 — biggest mistake. Need recommendations.

Hey everyone, long-time lurker here looking for some guidance after what feels like a year of shoe mistakes.

Started running ~2 years ago with the NB 1080v13, loved them. Developed periostitis tibialis, got a gait analysis, found out I pronate. Kept the shoes, added insoles, pain eventually went away on its own.

1.5 years in the 1080s were clearly done — losing stability, blisters on my big toe. Started researching and landed on the Kayano 32 as a stability option. Mistake. My pronation was already managed and I didn’t actually need a stability shoe.

After 8+ long runs (15km+) and 10+ short ones I can confidently say I hate them. Ride feels too stiff, feet feel heavier, new pains I didn’t have before, pace dropped noticeably.

I just need a well-cushioned daily trainer that’s comfortable on longer distances.
Currently eyeing the FuelCell Rebel v5 or going back to the 1080v15, but open to anything.

Anyone made a similar transition? What worked for you?
