TIFU by thinking kids at a daycare near me were in danger
There’s a daycare with a park directly behind my house. I, 28m, and my cousin, 24m heard kids screaming and yelling for help. We don’t live in a very nice city and we’re both parents ourselves so we both went into Dad mode. I was up in my room when I heard it and I got an instant drop of adrenaline. I slammed down the stairs as fast as I could. In the end literally nothing was happening and it was kids being kids having fun at the park. After we made sure everything was good I came back up to my room and found I literally ripped my door off of the hinges, all 3 screws completely out. I tried re-drilling them in but they won’t hold so now I don’t have a door or privacy until I can pay for a new one.
TL;DR I thought kids at the park behind my house were in danger and rushed out of my room like fucking He-Man and ripped my door off the hinges. Kids are safe, door was not.
