I attempted to switch to Fizz because the plan pricing looked much better than my current provider. Unfortunately, the activation and number-transfer process failed before I could even become a customer.

My existing provider confirmed that my number was active, eligible, and unlocked for transfer. Despite that, Fizz’s activation system repeatedly rejected my number with a generic “cannot be transferred” error and gave no specific explanation.

Fizz chat support then directed me to a phone number for porting help, but that department told me they only handle porting numbers out of Fizz, not porting numbers into Fizz, and could not access the systems needed to help. When I returned to chat support, I was given a malformed phone number, which did not inspire confidence.

I also purchased a physical Fizz SIM to rule out eSIM issues, but the problem remained. Since SIM cards are non-returnable where I bought it, this failed attempt cost me money without ever successfully activating service.

The cheap plan looked appealing, but the onboarding and support experience was too unreliable for something as important as a phone number tied to accounts, two-factor authentication, and daily communication. Seriously, if a company cannot even onboard people properly, spews half-baked web portals and sends you in circles with their "support", than that company is not worth investing any of my time, efforts, or money into.

Just thought I should put this out there for anyone who's considering switching to Fizz. I got screwed at the door, I hope you have a better outcome!
