Manchester Clubs Tracking Sandro Tonali Situation, Claims Fabrizio Romano

The Red and Blue sides of Manchester are set for a transfer battle.

It looks like both Man Utd and Man City share a need for reinforcing their midfield, and both clubs are assessing options ahead of the summer transfer window as they plot changes in the centre of the pitch.

Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali is among several names under consideration for both sides, with clubs across the Premier League monitoring his situation amid the endless comments from his agent, who’s seemingly more interested in moving the Italy international out of Tyneside than the player actually is…

Football insider and Saudi connoisseur Fabrizio Romano reported on his YouTube channel on March 18 that the Red Devils and the Cityzens have an interest in the Italian maestro.

“Two clubs from the Premier League have called for Sandro Tonali to be informed of the situation,” Romano said. “Manchester City and Manchester United are both following the situation. So there is a lot of interest from Arsenal, from Man City and from Man United…”

Romano, however, warned that talks remain at an early stage, seemingly prebuilding a way to escape this mess in case he’s wrong and the report is clickbait. Surprise!

“We know how complicated it is to negotiate with Newcastle. It is still [in the] early stages with conversations with Man United, with Manchester City,” Romano said. “Man United have several names on their shortlist for the midfielder. It’s not only one or two because this will depend on the budget.

“This will depend on who’s going to be the manager. This will depend on which kind of player Man United will want to sign. Could be one, could be two. So, there are several factors that are going to impact who is going to be the midfielder for Man United. It is not only one name at the moment, the list is including several names before they meet internally, and they say, ‘okay, let’s go for this one’.”

Newcastle are not reported to be actively pursuing a sale, and Tonali remains under a long-term contract on Tyneside, with everybody but his agent as happy in Magpie land as one could imagine.

Wesley Sneijder fires shots at FC Barcelona fans after they mocked Cristiano Ronaldo with Lamine Yamal’s 3 league titles.

“Barcelona fans comparing a 18 year old to Cristiano Ronaldo because of league titles tells you everything about how far standards have dropped at that club.

This is a club that hasn’t won the UEFA Champions League in almost 10 years, gets embarrassed in Europe every other season, then celebrates league titles like they’ve conquered football again.

Cristiano Ronaldo dominated England, Spain, Italy and Europe for nearly 20 years. Barcelona fans should worry more about surviving knockout rounds before trying to troll one of the greatest players ever.”

Guess what is the new problem???

Can't blame him for now huh?

Yesterday: Mbappe out for El Classico

Today: Barça 2 - 0 Real Win the Laliga consecutively under Hans Flick.

Do we really need to think about saying all those things about Kylian again? Real's another trophy less season. Is he really the guy to blame everything on?

[ World Transfers ] Summer Transfer Analysis - Football Unfiltered

Atlético Madrid is very close to accomplish their first transfer in the summer window, they want João Gomes. This Wolves' midfielder is chased by various Italian , English, and Spanish clubs before but non of them succeeded. He had an outstanding performance in Wolveampton Wonderers, and had a chance to leave in January this year. But he eventually decided to stay and finish this season. Now summer has come, and transfers come along. The two clubs are very close to a deal of 40 million euros plus bonus. Atlético already aligned personal contracts with Gomes, as a result, the starting transfer in summer is very likely to be this energetic rookie.

There is still a lot of news about Atlético, previously they got a deal about personal contracts with the Brazilian midfielder Éderson, but because his contract with Atlanta expires at 2027 and Atlanta wants 45 million euros, the club don't want to spend that much money on a player who only has one year of contract remaining. So this transfer is stopped completely. Which also means Éderson will be a target of multiple clubs this summer. Man Utd is already considering him.

As the leaving of Casaimiro and Ugarte, they at least needs two midfielders this summer. Although the club appreciates Éderson a lot, he is not the top target.

Next is the fight inside Real Madrid. The Real Madrid staff already decided to fine Valverde and Tchourameni 500 thousand euros each, which is a million in total. This is one of the biggest fines in the club history. Florentino Perez think because of the behavior issue in Wednesday and Thursday, it is definitely needed. The two players already apologized in both private and public areas. Tchourameni can attend the El Classico, but Valverde can't because of the facial injury. United fans are asking, can Man United sign Tchourameni because of the conflict? Utd loves Tchourrameni and thinks he is a top class defensive midfielder. But Madrid still sees him as the key player for the club's future and won't let him go, unless decided by the president of manager. Tchourameni mentions in the last part of the apologize we need to bring our club trophies in the next season. This is also a signal of staying in the club.

They is about Darwin Nuñez. There is a chance he will get back to Europe after the end of this season. He is currently in an embarrassing position in the club. Since the coming of Benzema in January, Nuñez is out of the line up for Saudi pro league, meaning he can only play the Asian champions league. This has a huge effect on him. There is a great chance of leaving this summer, but it is still unclear if it is a loan of a permanent transfer. His future will be clearer when the champion of Saudi pro league appears. Currently, still some European clubs and saudi clubs have interest in him.

At last, is about Anthony Gordon and Barça. According to Romano, the club didn't process this transfer positively because of the financial issue. Barça is looking for wingers but Gordon is a bit too expensive for them. Newcastle want about 100 million but Barça thinks it is way too expensive for him and is unaffordable. Bayern however is greatly interested in Gordon and has started dealing with Newcastle. Bayern has three choices for wingers and Gordon is one of them.

🚨ALERT: Real Madrid internally worried about dressing room tensions after recent clashes. More meetings expected this week.

Florentino Perez is recently worried and angered by this dressing room problem after the fight between Valverde and Tchourameni.

[Football Transfers] - New Real Madrid fight, Barca deal confirmed, Casemiro U-turn latest

Real Madrid internal tension builds

The situation at Real Madrid is becoming increasingly fraught. Indeed, there appears to have been a complete breakdown between relationships at the club. According to Marca, Aurelien Tchouaméni and Fede Valverde were involved in a fight today in training. What I can confirm is that it is true. There were also problems a few months ago in training between Alvaro Carreras and Antonio Rudiger. So the situation at Real Madrid is quite tense in terms of internal relationships. But the big breaking news is this fight involving Valverde and Tchouameni. We need to understand the consequences too. For sure, at Real Madrid there is a situation to clarify with several players and with the manager of course. It is sure that Jose Mourinho would love to return to Real Madrid. But for sure, it is a hot situation at Real Madrid right now, and not in a positive way.

Barcelona make last-ditch attempt to keep Lewandowski

Robert Lewandowski has been linked with a move to MLS, but Barcelona have made a late play for the Poland international striker to remain at the club. Pini Zahavi, the agent of Lewandowski, has arrived in Spain, There will be discussions with Barcelona because Barcelona plan to offer one more year on Lewandowski’s contract, but on reduced terms, while Lewandowski has several possibilities. Do not forget Saudi Arabia, because Saudi clubs have wanted Lewandowski for a long time. MLS clubs are also interested. Italian clubs too. Zahavi has also visited Italian clubs in recent days in Europe, so for sure he is working on the Lewandowski situation. And obviously it is important because it will impact the striker situation at Barcelona, the number nine position. So we have to wait on that. Zahavi and Joan Laporta, the president of Barca, have an excellent relationship, actually more than excellent.

Flick contract talks confirmed

As well as Lewandowski, Zahavi will also discuss the future of Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick. Today, Barcelona are prepared to make a formal official proposal to Flick to extend his contract. The current one expires in June 2027. There are two ways being discussed. One is a new contract until 2028, plus an option until 2029. The other option is a three-year deal from now until 2029. So there are two ways on the table, and we have to understand the length. Salary, is not going to be a problem. Flick is very happy at Barcelona. Barcelona are in love with Flick and the work he has been doing. So the intention is to continue together. These discussions will continue because Zahavi arrived today in Barcelona, so the conversations will go on. But for sure, Hansi Flick is going to lead Barcelona next season too. The only question is whether it will be a three-year contract or two years plus one. That is the conversation.

Ansu Fati to Monaco: Deal confirmed

Barcelona are also set to conclude a major transfer, with La Masia graduate Ansu Fati destined for Monaco in a deal worth €11 million. Monaco have decided to go all in and pay the buy option clause for Ansu Fati. That is €11m. So Monaco are ready to close the deal with Barcelona and keep the player. They are very happy with Ansu Fati. He is doing very well in France. Monaco, and especially director Thiago Scuro, are very happy with the impact he has had. They believe he can do even more in the future. There will be conversations to seal everything at the end of the season, but it is already very advanced, with Monaco prepared to close the deal. The final green light from Ansu Fati and from his camp is still pending, but Monaco are optimistic and want to complete it. Between clubs, they already informed Barcelona that they want to proceed. Many Barca fans are asking what that means for Barcelona. My understanding is that Barcelona would only keep a sell-on clause for Ansu Fati, not a buyback clause.A sell-on clause for Barcelona, which is still a way to control the player’s future, but not a direct buyback clause.

Casemiro’s Man Utd exit confirmed

Manchester United midfielder will not be talked into a U-turn over his future, with the Brazilian dead set on leaving Old Trafford as a free agent. It is a sad story, but it is the reality: Casemiro will not stay at Manchester United.

The song, ‘one more year, one more year’, is famous because Manchester United fans are trying to push Casemiro to stay one more season, play Champions League football and be part of the project next season too. But my understanding, to be very honest, is that Casemiro wants to try something different. And yesterday, he confirmed that he is ready for a new chapter.

So where is Casemiro going? My understanding remains MLS, with Inter Miami leading the race and pushing. Inter Miami are the favourites. LA Galaxy are also interested, but Casemiro is leaning towards MLS rather than Saudi Arabia or European clubs. Let’s wait for more conversations to take place, but for sure Casemiro’s future is linked to MLS. And Casemiro is not going to stay at Manchester United. It was a very honest interview today with ESPN Brazil, saying he loves Manchester United, wants to finish well, and wants to finish in a beautiful way. He also said he will be a United fan forever. In England it will be his club. So a very loyal and respectful message from Casemiro once again.

Who leaves? : Vini or Mbappe?

𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: The power struggle between Mbappé and Vinicius Jr in the Real Madrid dressing room is ONGOING, Marca report.

Most players side with the Brazilian, especially since Mbappé's return from injury and Vini's return to top form.

Arbeloa has chosen Vini as his MAIN ALLY, with Mbappé now injured again and distancing himself even further from the squad.

High pressing is one of the most aggressive and modern tactical strategies in football. Instead of waiting deep in their own half, teams that use a high press try to win the ball back as close to the opponent’s goal as possible. Over the last decade, this style has transformed football and has been used successfully by managers such as Jürgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola, and Marcelo Bielsa. High pressing is not simply about running toward the ball; it is a carefully organized system that requires teamwork, intelligence, fitness, and discipline.

At its core, high pressing works by reducing the opponent’s time and space on the ball. When defenders or midfielders attempt to build attacks from the back, pressing teams move forward quickly to force mistakes. Attackers close down defenders, midfielders block passing lanes, and defenders push higher up the pitch to keep the team compact. The objective is to trap the opponent in dangerous areas where losing possession can immediately lead to scoring opportunities.

One of the key principles of high pressing is coordination. A single player pressing alone is ineffective because opponents can simply pass around him. Instead, the entire team must move together as one unit. For example, if the striker presses the center-back, the wingers may close the full-backs while midfielders mark nearby passing options. This synchronized movement cuts off easy escapes and forces rushed decisions. Teams practicing high pressing spend countless hours training these movements so every player knows exactly when to press and where to move.

Another important concept is the “pressing trigger.” Teams do not press constantly without purpose because doing so would waste energy and create gaps. Instead, they look for moments that increase the chances of winning the ball. Common triggers include a poor first touch, a slow pass between defenders, a player receiving the ball facing his own goal, or a goalkeeper under pressure. Once the trigger appears, the pressing team attacks aggressively and collectively.

Fitness is essential for high pressing. Players must sprint repeatedly throughout the match while maintaining concentration and positioning. This is why teams using intense pressing often rely on athletic players with strong endurance. However, physical ability alone is not enough. Intelligence and awareness are equally important because pressing requires players to predict passes, understand angles, and recognize dangerous spaces.

One major advantage of high pressing is that it allows teams to regain possession quickly and attack before opponents can organize defensively. Winning the ball near the opponent’s penalty area often leads to immediate chances. This style also creates psychological pressure. Opponents may become nervous, rush their passes, or lose confidence when they are constantly harassed on the ball.

Despite its strengths, high pressing also has weaknesses. Because the defensive line moves high up the field, space is left behind the defenders. Skilled opponents can exploit this with quick counterattacks or long passes over the top. If even one player fails to press correctly, gaps can appear and the entire system may collapse. Maintaining high intensity for ninety minutes is also extremely difficult, especially during congested schedules.

Different managers apply high pressing in different ways. Jürgen Klopp popularized “gegenpressing,” a strategy where teams immediately press after losing possession to recover the ball within seconds. Pep Guardiola combines pressing with possession football, using pressing mainly to control territory and dominate the game. Meanwhile, Marcelo Bielsa is known for extremely aggressive man-oriented pressing systems that overwhelm opponents with intensity.

In modern football, high pressing has become one of the defining tactical ideas of elite teams. It reflects the evolution of the sport from passive defending to proactive control. Rather than reacting to opponents, pressing teams attempt to dictate the game through energy, organization, and constant pressure. Although demanding and risky, high pressing remains one of the most exciting and influential strategies in football today.
