I’ve been Type 1 for going on 9 years. I use the OmniPod5.

I’ve always been a bigger guy and this hasn’t caused too many long term issues. Never had an A1C above 7.8, typically hover around the 6.9-7.4 range, but I’ve gotten to the point where sometimes my pods only last a day and a half even if I don’t eat a lot just because my highs have been particularly hard to bring down recently, and I’d like to have a minimum average of 2-2.5 days per pod.

Every time I’ve tried working out and getting into a routine I always deal with lows and end up ingesting more calories than I burn just to keep my sugars steady. Activity Mode doesn’t help with lows and stopping insulin delivery for my workout duration is 50/50 on whether it works or I skyrocket.

Even aside from just helping with my sugars, I’d love to actually slim down and every time I’ve tried I end up having a ton of lows and the problem mentioned above.

Any tips?
