My nephew is turning into a really good guitar player as he finishes up high school this month. I’m going to be in Fukuoka tomorrow and Wednesday and then Tokyo through Saturday. Any thoughts on what might be an interesting guitar-related gift that has Japanese influence but isn’t necessarily an actual guitar?
We’re looking to do an evening food tour in Tokyo on either Thursday, May 14 or Friday, May 15. There’s so many out there on Get Your Guide, Viator, Tours By Locals, etc. Anybody have any recs for one they particularly enjoyed? We like to try all kinds of different cuisines. My wife’s been to Tokyo but I haven’t. Would love good food and an overall good vibe. We’re staying in Asakusa, but happy to travel anywhere around the city for a good food tour.
I’m traveling to Japan this coming weekend for two weeks. We’ll be in Tokyo on the back end of the trip May 13-16. I came across some info about the Hall of Fame at the Tokyo Dome and was curious if it’s worth a visit. I’ve been to Cooperstown and I’ve done the Negro Leagues Museum in Kansas City. Feels like I should check it out while I’m there, but curious what people here think.
