Dr. Note for workplace stress
I am currently pregnant, due in December. I work as a Catholic school teacher teacher and my boss is, lightly, horrible. She plays mind games, power struggles, suddenly treats you like you are incompetent, and sends snarky emails. There’s been a host of issues all year, no to me personally, but to other teachers, and currently she is dragging her feet on if any of us have employment contracts for next year. I’m at a Catholic school and she’s a Catholic principal.
It really feels like at the beginning of the year she chooses one or two teachers to pick on and makes their life miserable so they end up quitting or being fired. I’m worried she has me in her sights for next year because she wasn’t thrilled to hear that I was pregnant again. She tried to hide it but I could see her face. Do you think I would be able to obtain a doctor’s note from my OBGYN saying something about reducing workplace stress? Or would that be open invitation to fire me?
Quitting is not an option for me financially. I really have no idea where to put this or ask this question so I thought I’d try here.
