Findings:
- On October 31, 2025, the Appellants submitted an initial wall check survey, prepared by Scartz Surveys, which determined that the addition (under construction) was located eight feet from the side lot line at the front corner and only 7.4 feet (seven feet, 4.8 inches) from the side lot line at the rear corner of the addition. A copy of this survey is enclosed as Attachment 7.
- On November 20, 2025, a wind bracing inspection for BLDR-2025-00331 was completed and failed by LDS. This inspection confirmed that construction of the addition did not match the plans reviewed and approved in conjunction with BLDR-2025-00331. Among the multiple deficiencies identified, LDS staff found that the addition deviated from the wall bracing design approved with BLDR-2025-00331, which posed an immediate safety risk
- On February 11, 2026, in association with BLDR-2025-00331-01, a second wind bracing inspection was completed by LDS and failed because the structural walls did not match details on the approved plan, along with other identified Building Code deficiencies. As a result of this inspection, the Appellants applied for a second building permit amendment, BLDR-2025-00331-02, on March 19, 2026. As of the date of this report, BLDR-2025-00331-02 is still under review. A copy of the submitted plans for BLDR-2025-00331-02 are enclosed as Attachment 12.
