I have been seeing this guy for over a month now, however his body odour is horrid and I don’t know how to start the conversation with him about it.
Onetime he spent the night at my place after showering of course but when he left the next day, my whole bedding stank and I had to wash everything. I feel like addressing this issue but how do I bring it up without offending him?

His breath is even worse and that is why I had decided to take things really slow with him coz I don’t think I’m ready to take another step forward with him when he needs to work on his hygiene.

So my birthday was on the 19th April and this guy I have been seeing for a month now fails to wish me a happy birthday then drops by my apartment later that day like he always did most days. So I open the door for him and just head straight to my bedroom, while he seated in the sitting room, he comes to my room and says he just remembered it's my birthday and he is sorry, he thought the 19th was the next day. I tell him it's cool. He looked really sorry and I could tell he felt like he had messed up. Anyways to make him feel better about the whole situation, I ask him to make it up to me which he promised he would. Moving forward, his birthday comes on the 1st May, then I ask him what he wants and he says, he doesn't expect anything.
So l ask him why and I try to make him understand why it's important to celebrate one's birthday. Obviously, I get him gifts on his day. And while giving them to him, he repeatedly says I didn't have to. Then I told him but I wanted to. Then he appreciates. What bothered me was after that day, he seemed distant. No calls, no texts, nothing. Then after like a week he checks up on me like we cool.
Did I put a lot of pressure on him? Am I overly demanding?
I'm trying to figure out what's up with him and why he hasn't made an effort to even try making it up to me till now.
