I have a nibbling on the way! I’m so excited. I’m going to crochet them a blanket and I want it to be something they can use and love forever.

When I was a small person, my blankie had knots sewn onto it in intervals. I loved to worry them with my fingers especially at night as I was going to sleep. It was very soothing.

I want to incorporate something like that onto my blanket, preferably without having to sew knots on at the end. Google keeps showing me fidget blankets like sensory boards, or knots in yarn issues instead of stitches or purposeful knots.

Do you guys have any suggestions on how to incorporate something like this? Or stitches that might have a similar texture or effect?
