Nervous to start
Hello all - I’m about to start this week. I’ve held off on any injectable in the past and tried Contrave and Topiramate/Metformin. Both helped me lose about ten pounds in a month but then never any more. I need to lose at least 50 more.
A recent lab work up showed my cholesterol significantly jumping, and I’ve recently had a diagnosis of lipedema so my doctor feels this pill is the right approach. I turn 50 this year, my joints hurt and I know I’m holding off on doing this because I physically can’t.
I’m nervous because I had a friend who had to have her gall bladder removed on Ozempic and have heard of other serious side effects. My dad had gall bladder issues when he was young - so I’m worried I’ll be higher risk. Doctor reassured me it’s rare and that I need to drop the weight to improve my overall help, but I’d appreciate any words of encouragement.
