I have been working at a tesco express as a shift leader for a couple of months now. One thing I don’t understand is how the break pay works. Out of my 9 hour shift i will get a 30min break or most of the time not one at all and I will only be paid for 7.5 hours of it. I do 36.5 hours a week and if I don’t get a chance to take my breaks within the week I’m basically doing an extra 10 hours for free
