Something I have been thinking about lately and wanted to get peoples honest opinions on.

We all know universities are cracking down on AI. But here is what I find more interesting than the detectors. Tutors have been reading dissertations in their subject for decades. They know exactly how a student at each level writes. The vocabulary they use. The way they build an argument. The natural inconsistencies in human academic writing.

AI writes perfectly. Too perfectly. Unnaturally consistent. No real academic voice. No genuine critical thinking that surprises the reader. My theory is that even when AI work passes every detector a

experienced tutor can still sense it. They cannot prove it. But they can give it a 52 and move on.

Has anyone actually experienced this? Either personally or heard from someone who has?

Would love to hear genuine experiences from people on both sides of this.

Hey everyone!

I am doing some independent research

on how UK students approach dissertation

writing in the early stages and I need

a few volunteers to help.

What I am looking for:

Students who have just been given their

dissertation brief or are in the very

early planning stages. Does not matter

what subject you are doing.

What is involved:

Just a quick informal chat about where

you are in the process, what your topic

is and what challenges you are facing

so far. Completely anonymous and takes

no more than 10 minutes.

In return I am happy to give you free

personalised feedback and guidance on

your dissertation structure and research

approach. Basically a free mini

consultation on your dissertation plan.

No catch, no selling, just genuine

research into the student dissertation

experience.

Drop a comment below or DM me if you

are interested and I will get back to

you within a few hours 🎓

Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone! Going through my own

dissertation journey I realised how

many students struggle alone so I

created a free support channel with

daily tips and advice.

No selling involved, just students

helping students.

Drop a comment if you want the

link and I will share it! 🎓
