Hi guys! Hopefully my post is all good to be here- just wanted to see if anyone knows the answer I'm looking for!
So, since there's a sale on packs right now and the one I've wanted most since it released (Businesses and Hobbies) finally came down significantly, I really want to pick it up. I'm worried though, because I haven't updated my game since before the whole Moola Marketplace change.
I play the game thru Steam with EA app and Steam in offline mode to avoid updates whenever necessary. I figured if I buy the pack on Steam, it may try to prompt an update to The Sims immediately when I try to install it. Does anyone know if I can buy and dl the pack thru EA instead and just return offline without causing any update? Or will the game insist on being updated to play a newly purchased pack or something? All other times I've bought a pack, my game was current, so I have no idea and just don't wanna risk any mess up/loss if possible. Thanks to anyone who can answer ❤️
(ETA: I did look up all my script mods yesterday to see which I'd need to update and which are supposedly fine right now in the event I do end up getting a forced update or choosing to! Just would honestly prefer to keep playing without this update if I can-)
