I don’t like how they updated the sparkle effect in TFG

I don’t like how they updated the sparkle effect in TFG

Game updated while I was playing it, and I was literally JUST gushing over how I thought the small white spheres on the clothing created the perfect sparkle effect. Now they got rid of it and replaced it with sparkle decals, which stretch along the clothing of the character. They also don’t have it on the boots either. I don’t like it :(
Butttt they did add Chimera, Radius and Ligea and they look fantastic. I hope they change the sparkle stuff back.

Within the past few weeks, two domestic mallards showed up on Bardeen quad. These two cuties were most likely dumped by someone who didn’t want them anymore. Side by side, they were peacefully looking out onto Boneyard creek, preening and eating the greenest of grass they could find (with the occasion of being fed by students). I decided to unofficially name one of these guys Marvin.

Unfortunately, despite their ancestry, they are unable to fully thrive in a non-domesticated environment. Their flying abilities, among other factors, are much more limited, making them vulnerable to predators. As a result, the other mallard is presumed to have been killed. This left Marvin all alone. Despite this, Marvin continued to survive and has been beloved by many folks in the community.

As of today, a few good samaritans (of whom I did not get the names of) captured Marvin, and he will now go to a sanctuary in Chicago. His new life will be lived with lots of love and peace without fear of predation and other environmental factors.

Rest in peace to the other ducky, and I wish Marvin well. They will be missed 🦆🧡💙

If these two were truly dumped, then this is a great opportunity to tell everyone NOT to get a pet unless you can provide them with the best care they need and deserve. I see people getting smaller birds and rodents all the time, and they end up just sitting in a small cage with no interaction or a proper diet/environment. This also applies to students who adopt pets and can’t take them back to their home state/country post graduation.

If you are truthful with yourself and find you cannot properly care for a pet you already have, find them a good home or surrender them. Abandoning animals is incredibly cruel, and should never be an option to erase them from your household.

Thankfully, I believe all of the goslings are hatched now, so no eggs are flooded. Lots of soggy duckies and gonslings :)
