DVD-by-mail services worked just like Blockbuster video rental, except when you picked a film online, the hard copy DVD was posted out to you. After watching it, you posted it back. [Writing this down makes me feel a billion years old.]
I'd consider something like this coming back if it meant I could watch any film, not just trending ones - and not massacred by ads! On the other hand, all those grubby hard copies in circulation are absolute nightmare fuel...
I think I just miss watching films supported by companies that actually respect films, but curious what others think. Nonsense nostalgia, or something that should come back?
