CHAPTER 12 SNEAK EXCERPT:
“He was there.” Ron said, as if that cleared up anything.
Harry blinked.
“Brilliant, Ron. Would you mind elaborating?” He quipped.
Ron pinched his lips. “Malfoy. Malfoy was at the prefects’ meeting. If he was here, then… well maybe he knows where Hermione is.”
Harry's eyes tightened.
“Are you- Ron, are you suggesting we ask Malfoy about Hermione?” he asked exasperated. “Hey Malfoy, hope you had a great summer, speaking of! I heard you had a house guest the past week. You know, about yea high, even bigger hair? Ring any bells?” the sarcasm bleeding through Harry’s words.
Ron’s ears burned even brighter. “Knock it off, mate! It was just a suggestion! I don’t see you offering up with any ideas.” He crossed his arms and leaned back, looking out the window of the train.
Harry tensed. Ron was right, it wouldn’t do any good to take his frustration out on him.
Neither of them said anything for a bit until Harry brightened.
“The cloak!”
Ron looked confused. “Harry, mate, I don’t think offering the pointy prat your cloak will do us any good.”
“No you git! I’ll wear the cloak to listen in on him and the snakes… see if they mention anything about Hermione!” he explained.
