Again, it's something your fandom doesn't talk about; or if it is brought up, people either deny, downplay, or think it isn't a problem.

I'm gonna guess the usual: racism, misogyny, fanservice, lolis, story quality, character quality, queerphobia (or fetishing of), ableism, facism, etc.

There are certain fandoms or pieces of media everyone knows for a specific problem or another. (i.e. mha, aot, tadc, etc.)

I know you're supposed to name what you're talking about, but feel free to not if you don't want to get hate because I understand completely.

Feel free to also name positive things you think should be talked about more! What's something about your fav media that wish got more attention?

Even if it's true, most of the people I know who say this either actually can't, or if they can, they're emotionally manipulative jerks.

One guy I knew who thought this about himself had a crush on me. Same guy couldn't understand why I rejected him nearly every day. Also ironic considering he struggled with being socially inept, which I am as well.

Or my brother, who at least recognizes this about himself and is working on it, admits he's an egotistical narcissist (I think that's a bit of an exaggeration) who likes to emotionally distress others.

Or a friend I once had, who was a pathological liar, an emotional manipulator, and a nihilist who didn't totally see what was wrong with being selfish.

Again, I'm probably just biased, but that's been my experience. I've known or known of others like this, but these two were the most prominent examples I could describe.

Another example would be women who call themselves "empaths". As someone who has been described as very empathic, Run. Just because I feel how I think what someone else is feeling doesn't mean I'm right about it.

And there's just so, so many nihilistic people online who think they know better because they have no hope in the world, and think that everyone else are also liars and manipulators like themselves.

Edit: I think there's a difference in reading a social situation to know how to react, and what I've described above. The ones I'm talking about are those who use the ability for the purpose of abuse. Also, don't just focus on the women identifying as empaths part. Some of y'all are doing that and it does not look good. And yes I know it's something those who have been emotionally abused tend to have. That doesn't mean abusing that skill is okay.

I managed to fall asleep sometime during the late evening, woke up around 6 a.m., stayed up the whole day, then couldn't get a wink at night. I'm sure this is because I'm used to being up all night, but this still sucks. I just need one thing to go right for me because I've been feeling more depressed than usual lately. It feels like everything I do goes wrong one way or another.

I used to not be able to stand him, found him incredibly annoying, and I'm sure he felt similarly towards me. Then we realized we both have adhd and anxiety, and why we were so irritated by each other. Now we talk all the time, watch shows together most nights, and play dnd.
