Another fieldpiece bites the dust

This is the 2nd fieldpiece meter in 4 years where the amp clamp has busted. They sit in my tool bag in a pouch and I never see it actually break, one day I pull it out and the trigger is broken. Does anyone have recommendations on a sturdy amp meter for residential. I have a fluke that sits in the truck for serious voltage stuff. Don't need anything crazy just inrush, uA would be cool too. Thanks!

Hey y'all. I've had an old RadioShack turntable for a while that I've fixed a few times. Recently my niece busted the stylus prompting another $65 fix. I've never really loved this one it was just cheap and easy to mess with. At this point I don't want to put more money into it so Ive been all over marketplace trying to find my next move.

I've always bought everything used with the goal to learn how to fix stuff rather than throw it away. With a budget of ~$400 I'm trying to decide whether to buy a vintage turntable or a brand new table. Honestly I'm not really an audiophile, and just have a pair of plain edifier speakers connected to a cheap preamp. What I care most about is *if* I can repair it myself. I can't stand products designed to be trashed or repaired by the original manufacturer.

Morning coffee while listening to records is our family ritual, and with our first kid on the way I really want a piece of equipment we can grow with. Recommendations, suggestions, or general ideas on right to repair audio equipment are much appreciated. A record store over is selling an sl-d33 with an ortofon red for $450, but I love how fluance tables look. Thanks!
