Hi all,

I’ve been running an HP R2000 since October and still dialing in materials and presets. Today I printed on some MaxMetal sheets and noticed ghosting from the liner showing up in the lighter areas.

The file itself is very simple, it should print as either a solid grey or solid black, and white letters, no graphics. The grey is built as a 4-color process grey (C70 M64 Y63 K61).

I tried wiping the sheets with denatured alcohol, but that just left streaky wipe marks on top of the ghosting, so now it looks worse.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Is this a material handling issue, a curing/ink setting problem, or something with how the liner residue is reacting?

Would appreciate any tips on cleaning, prep, or print settings that might help avoid this.

Thanks!
