Quick update on my situation, I was getting bulk spam messages sent from my WhatsApp to random international numbers (+55) without my knowledge (happened 3 times in 3 days), which led to a temporary ban/review. I’ve now regained access to my account. I had already enabled 2FA, logged out of all linked devices. At this point, I strongly suspect it was a compromised WhatsApp Web/session issue rather than my phone. I’m staying off WhatsApp Web/Desktop for now and monitoring closely. If anyone faced something similar or figured out the exact cause, would still appreciate insights, don’t want this happening again, and I don't know the chances of happening again is low or more or non.
