Should I get a roommate?
I'm moving across the country to work and I'm considering trying to roommate with someone who will be training with me (have had a short phone convo, haven't met). Im considering it only to save money. The 1brs I've been looking at are 1.3-1.8k and the 2brs are 2-2.5k.
On the other hand, I'm worried about if the roommate and I don't get along, especially with us working together. I'm also a fairly private person and enjoy my own space and time.
I've had roommates in the past, but they were already my close friends. Much different than with a future coworker i be yet to meet. AND they're bringing their girlfriend which i wouldn't view as such an issue if they weren't moving cross country too. What if they fall out.
Also they don't smoke weed and I do which might cause friction.
Tl;dr , should I try to get an apartment with a future coworker and his girlfriend, having not met either of them, in order to save money and build a new relationship? Or should I opt for my own apartment and enjoy the privacy and space?
