You're sent to a year in the 2010s decade. The year is random, it could be 2012 or it could be 2019; the decision is up to fate.

You have the rest of the day to mentally prepare yourself. At midnight, you will be sent back in time to January 1st at midnight of the random year and have to survive until January 1st of the next year.

You have nothing except the clothes you went to sleep in the night before and $100 of year-appropriate cash. You are allowed to spend this money on anything you like. You wake up in a hotel room in the closest metropolitan area to your current place of residence.

If you die within the year, you're sent back to present day. You won't remember anything about what happened and it will be like you never left.
