SH and Phlebotomy

I want to know if anyone has had a similar experience to me. I’m currently in a program that involves phlebotomy and while I initially hated needles, I’ve actually started to look forward to days we do blood draws on each other. I think seeing the bruises left behind sort of reawakened that part of my brain from when I used to SH when I was younger. My goal used to be leaving a mark, so this was just a weird reminder of what I actually used to struggle with and I guess I’m a little worried it’ll encourage a relapse. I just want to know if I’m alone in this or if other people have had experiences like this where adult jobs and programs have sort of “taken you back”. I also figured this was too much to throw in the phlebotomy subreddit.
