really curious to know if anyone else has experienced this 👀
i started my period today, 6 weeks after my medical abortion, and wow, it feels so weird — but in a good way.
i’ve read that a lot of people have a strange first period afterward, but i expected it to be worse, not better lol. it’s only day one, so it’s hard to say how it’ll be by the end, and maybe things will change again with future cycles.
right now, it’s heavier and more clotty than i’d normally expect on the first day, but so much less painful. usually, i get pretty intense cramps on day one, and day two is even worse. like can’t walk worse. i also normally deal with a bunch of other symptoms, like feeling exhausted right before my period, breast soreness, and that sharp pain in my ass that is no joke lol.
this time, though, my breasts aren’t sore at all, and apart from very mild cramps and bleeding, there’s basically nothing else. i was actually surprised to see blood when i woke up because i can usually kind of feel when my period is about to start.
anyway, i hope it stays this way forever. has anyone else’s period changed for the better? 💞
